Pharmacy Analytics Datathon
Volunteer Judges
February 2nd - February 9th
Help score dashboard submissions for the largest student pharmacist data competition
What Does Judging Involve?
Volunteer judges play a critical part of making the Datathon a success. Having multiple judges review the dashboard ensures better consensus of results. Guest judges are responsible for reviewing a subset of dashboards. This varies from 10-20 dashboards depending on the number of participants and the number of judges. Volunteer judges only assess the visual display and custom KPI scores. Sparx Analytics will grade each dashboard for accuracy.
How Much Time Does Judging Take?
Judging is estimated to take 1-3 hours of time. Results are due back to Sparx Analytics after 1 week to make it easier to fit into your schedule. Because all of the dashboards are addressing the same prompt, judges typically find it becomes quick to grade. For example, the first couple may take you more time (10 minutes each) to orient yourself to the prompt and aspects of the visuals that you like. Afterwards, it may take 5 minutes or less to review a subsequent dashboard.
Do I Need Analytics Experience To Volunteer?
No experience is required, so all pharmacy professionals are welcome to participate. The dashboard is built around a prompt for an executive audience. It's encouraged to have judges with a blend of backgrounds as this mimics who may be viewing a dashboard in real-world applications.
Do I Need To Attend Any Live Sessions?
Nope! Judging is done on your own schedule. As long as you have the results back by the communicated deadline (~1 week), it doesn't matter where or when you score the submissions.
